8and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to gather them for battle. The four corners of the earth is north, south, east and west, and the deceiving them is deceiving Gods believers from the bible. These would be atheists and unbelievers circling the believers all over the world. Surrounding the camp of Gods people. The fire to come down from heaven is the word of GOD. Devouring them just means some of them will cease and become believers. Devouring their methods of deceiving Gods people.
